This non-alcoholic grapefruit spritzer with Prosecco will make you feel like everyday is a glamorous pool party! Look no further for a drink that combines grapefruit, lime, sparkling water, and syrup for a tart and refreshing mocktail.

I love drinks that make me feel light, fun and glamorous. And nothing does it as well as a spritzer with prosecco! Picture this: a tall glass with loads of flavor, a beautiful color that captures the rays of the sun, and loads of tight little bubbles that taste tart and refreshing. Enter, the grapefruit spritzer mocktail.
This grapefruit sparkler mocktail is a refreshing escape to citrus paradise. With just four simple ingredients, you've got yourself a drink that delivers the zesty essence of sun-kissed grapefruits right to your glass. It's perfect for a hot and sunny day or a good brunch party.
Rich in flavor, this mocktail showcases the bright, zesty taste of grapefruit, which has quite the refreshing punch and kick. I love making this grapefruit spritzer with yellow grapefruits or even pomelos for their delicate color, but you can just as easily use a ruby red grapefruit as well!
In this mocktail, the vibrant tartness of the grapefruit gets a boost from the effervescence of non-alcoholic prosecco. With a splash of freshly squeezed juice and beautiful grapefruit slices for garnish, this drink delivers a burst of citrusy goodness without any alcohol. It's a perfect balance of tang and sparkle, which is why I often refer to this as my grapefruit lemonade spritzer!
And the best part? This mocktail is incredibly easy to prepare! In fact, it's so simple that you could easily involve the whole family in the mixing process. My kids love "squeezing" their little hands around the big pieces of grapefruit, getting every bit of flavor into a large pitcher that we then all share together (for kids, I prefer making this grapefruit spritzer with sparkling water or a lemon lime soda like Sprite).
All About Grapefruit Juice

Grapefruit juice is known its distinctive flavor that balances sweetness with a pleasant bitterness. But I particularly love it because it's lower in sugar compared to many other fruit juices, while still providing a good dose of vitamin C and other antioxidants.
You can find grapefruit juice in most grocery stores, typically in the refrigerated section near other fruit juices. However, for the best flavor in this drink, it's best if you squeeze out your own grapefruits or pomelos. You just can't beat the vibrant taste of fresh juice!
The potential health benefits of grapefruit juice, such as its high vitamin C content and antioxidants, make this sparkling grapefruit mocktail not just enjoyable but also a healthier choice. This, combined with the hydrating effects of the drink, ensures you'll be sipping on a beverage that will actually make you feel better when you're done, unlike most traditional alcoholic cocktails.
Ingredients

- Fresh grapefruit juice: Provides a tart, citrusy flavor and a beautiful hue. You can use pomelo juice or the juice of any grapefruit here.
- Non-alcoholic prosecco or sparkling wine: Adds bubbles and a touch of sweetness to balance the tartness. Feel free to use lemon-lime soda or club soda.
- Fresh grapefruit slices: Grapefruit wedges or rounds make the perfect garnish and extra flavor infusion.
- Grapefruit bitters: Optional, but highly recommended, this adds a burst of grapefruit flavor and smell to the drink.
- Ice: Keeps the drink cool and refreshing.

Directions for this Grapefruit Sparkler mocktail

Add Grapefruit Slices

Slice a whole grapefruit into rounds and add these to the pitcher. They will infuse more citrus flavor into the drink and serve as a beautiful garnish.
Combine Grapefruit Juice and Non-Alcoholic Prosecco

Pour the grapefruit juice into a pitcher. Gently stir to combine. The mixture should turn a beautiful pale color.
Serve and Garnish

Fill glasses with ice. Pour the grapefruit mixture into glasses filled with ice. Top each glass with non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
Add 2 dashes of grapefruit bitters to each glass. Add the grapefruit slices into each glass or place the garnish on the rim for an extra touch of elegance. You'll have enough to make about 2 glasses from this amount.
If you'd like your drink to taste sweeter, or if using seltzer instead of prosecco, add an ounce of maple syrup or simple syrup to the pitcher or to individual glasses.
Top Tips!
Always use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice for the best flavor.
For a fancy touch, rim your glasses with a mixture of sugar and a pinch of salt before pouring the mocktail. A rosemary sprig will also look beautiful!
Variations

This refreshing and easy drink is perfect on its own, and it's actually my favorite mocktail for many brunch parties. But if you want to make this one even more special, here are a few of my favorite adaptations:
- Add a splash of elderflower cordial for a floral note.
- Use grapefruit soda or flavored sparkling water instead of non-alcoholic prosecco for a different twist.
- Muddle some fresh mint leaves in the glass before adding the mocktail for a hint of herby flavor and scent.
- For a sweeter version, add a touch of simple syrup or agave nectar.
From Mocktail to Cocktail

For those times when you're in the mood for something a little stronger, it's easy to transform this mocktail into a cocktail. Simply swap out the non-alcoholic prosecco for the real deal, or even use a rosé prosecco for a gorgeous color.
You can also add a splash of tequila or gin to the mix. The bright, citrusy flavors of the grapefruit juice pair wonderfully with these spirits, creating a balanced and refreshing alcoholic beverage.
Accompanying Dishes

The grapefruit sparkler mocktail is a tangy and super refreshing drink that looks so good and makes you feel fancy without a drop of alcohol. It pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. I love serving it for Easter, baby showers, or any brunch.
Its tartness makes it an excellent companion to seafood, particularly grilled scallops with a hint of sweetness. It also complements salads featuring bitter greens like arugula or endive, as the sweetness of the mocktail provides a nice contrast.
For a brunch setting, try serving it alongside a quiche or frittata – the bubbles in the drink will help cleanse the palate between bites of the rich, eggy dish.
