- 1 pound mussels cleaned
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup white wine
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon cut into wedges
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Melt butter in an oven-safe (preferably cast iron) skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic, cook for 1 minute.
Add cream and wine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
Add mussels to the skillet.
Transfer skillet to oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes until mussels open.
Discard any unopened mussels.
Sprinkle with parsley, salt, and pepper.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and baguette slices.
