Ingredients

  • 1 pack of cooked beets 3 cooked beets
  • 1 package of extra firm tofu
  • 2 tsps salt or more, to taste
  • 1 lemon juice of
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Dark rye bread or crackers
  • ½ -1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup pine nuts optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dil optional
  • Freshly cracked black pepper optional

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender, process until smooth.
  • Spread on bread or pipe with a piping bag.
  • Optional: top with pine nuts and mint or dill.
