Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen passionfruit purée
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ¼ cup simple syrup or honey
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • ½ cup Ritual Tequila Alternative or desired amount
  • Lime slices for garnish optional

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the purée, lime juice, syrup, and Ritual Tequila Alternative.
  • Add the crushed ice to the blender.
  • Blend on high speed until the mixture is thick and slushy, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Pour the frozen daiquiri margarita into prepared glasses.
  • Garnish with lime slices, and add salt to the rim of the glass if desired.
  • Serve immediately with a spoon and a straw.

Expert Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup to taste.
  • For a stronger passionfruit flavor, increase the amount of purée or feel free to add some freshly squeezed fruit juice to the mix.
  • If the purée has passion fruit seeds, rejoice because it's the real deal. But know that you can remove the seeds if you strain the puree through a fine-mesh strainer before using.
  • You can also add a splash of water, sparkling water or club soda to the blender if the mixture is too thick.
  • Adjust the amount of Ritual Tequila Alternative according to your preference.
  • You can also rim your glass with a spicy chili salt rim like in my spicy pineapple margarita recipe.
