- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
In a saucepan, combine cranberries, water, and sugar.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes, or until cranberries have broken down and the liquid reduced in about half.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove cranberry skins.
