Forget Starbucks; this homemade pumpkin spice latte uses homemade pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice syrup, and whipped cream for an easy fall drink!

For pumpkin spice syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
For latte:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoon pumpkin spice syrup
- 1 shot espresso or ½ cup strong coffee
- 2 tablespoon Whipped cream for topping (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon for topping (optional)
To make pumpkin spice syrup:
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
Whisk to mix well.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
To make pumpkin spice latte:
Heat milk and pumpkin puree in a saucepan.
Froth mixture (optional).
Pour espresso into a mug.
Add milk mixture and syrup.
Stir and serve.
