This simple yet elegant apple and cheese recipe is our go-to after-school snack and a staple at birthday parties. It’s quick, healthy, and a great alternative to heavier party fare.

When I started exploring new flavor combinations for my appetizer platters, I wanted to highlight the apple in a way that felt fresh yet familiar. Apples are often the supporting act in a cheese platter, but I wanted them to shine as the centerpiece. The result? An easy-to-assemble apple appetizer featuring sharp cheddar cheese, sweet honey drizzle, and the bold warmth of ras-el-hanout.
It’s a simple dish with layered flavors—each bite offers the crisp crunch of an apple slice, the savory depth of cheddar, and the aromatic spices that inspired by the flair of Middle Eastern flavors.
Ras-el-hanout, a fragrant blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom, gives the dish its unique character, while the cheddar cheese provides a satisfying contrast.

Whether you're hosting a party or making a quick snack, this apple and cheese recipe is always a hit!
And for the busy host, it’s a relief—no need to fire up the oven or air fryer. Just a few fresh ingredients and minimal prep deliver big impact.
I’ll never forget the first time I served these at a family gathering. My kids eagerly lined up as I assembled each skewer, sneaking bites of cheese and apple before the platter made it to the table. By the end of the night, the plate was empty, and I realized I had stumbled upon a new favorite.
